“Following the successful relaunch of Reflections Art Magazine in January 2009, I am currently planning the launch of a Trilogy of coffee table art books, as well as the expansion of this website. As a service user who uses photography as a coping strategy, I understand the tremendous value that the creative arts have in enhancing the healing environment and aiding recovery” -

“As well as working with Tony on the magazine and website, I am also developing my own interest in photography, having found it a great way to escape and relieve mental stress” -

“Some seven years ago I decided to take up a new challenge in my life. Being interested in all aspects of life in particular nature I decided to paint. I wanted to incorporate as many of my interests as possible into the paintings using whatever methods I could. With help and support from family and friends, other artists and associates I continue on my journey and have managed to build up a collection of artworks.” -

“Art has been a mirror to my mental state. Five years ago, close to suicide in hospital, my paintings were very dark. Now, they reflect my recovery and new found positive optimism. I am exploring new media, techniques and subjects.” -

“Throughout my life I have suffered from social anxiety and depression. For many years I was socially isolated and withdrawn, and extremely low in confidence. However discovering an interest in art gave me a sense of self worth and purpose to my life which I had not known until then. Art allows me to express myself and makes me feel good to give pleasure to others through my artwork.” -
