Apache and Black Beetle

My nickname at school was apache (like the indians) and my sister was called black beetle, as we lived in an old pit house the streets and houses were alive with black beetles. We were horribly scruffy kids, the poem is true and i was 12 my sister was 9 at the time.
Apache and black beetle went to the fair
Mother had told them "dont you dare !"
"You'll be stolen by the Gypsies, if you go alone"
"You'll be stolen by the Gypsies and never get home"
Apache and black beetle went to the fair
Excited and fearless, up for the dare !
They hung around the walzer
Waiting for there new life on the read to begin
Apache and black beetle
They waited all day
For one gypsy boy to say follow me this way
Apace and black beetle
Had to give up and go home
"Have you had a nice day", mother would say
You lied about the gypsies !
