Issue 4: Extended Again Issue
Well here it is the fourth issue of Reflections, and whilst once again we are delighted to have been able to extend the magazine by yet another four pages, we are also just a little frustrated by the fact that is still does not give us the amount of space we need to include everything we would like to feature. But fear not, those who have submitted work that has yet to be showcased, as it is still our intention to produce a series of regional coffee table art books, and also, the time is fast approaching when we shall have to give serious consideration to making Reflections a bi monthly magazine.
It is absolutely fantastic that the magazine has generated so much interest, and we are extremely grateful to all those organisations who committed their support to us in this the first year of our relaunch. We are particularly delighted to have been able to prove their judgement and decision to help us was a good one.
Elsewhere in the mag you will see news of the Strategy Group we have formed, and the conference we are staging on October13th. In addition, we are steadily working behind the scenes, with a number of art groups around the country, putting together a travelling art exhibition which should begin early next year.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the fantastic art featured in this issue, which by the way, apart from the extra four pages, will also see our circulation increase by another 900 copies thanks to Wolverhampton City PCT, Nottingham City PCT, Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust, and NHS County Durham who are circulating the magazine to 500 g.p. practices across their area. Take Care Everyone.....
Oh and By the Way....
There has been much debate here at Breakthrough Towers about whether or not we should return to our campaigning roots, and for example, name and shame the organisations and individuals who ignore our letters, and do not even offer us the courtesy of a reply, or people such as the chief executive of a well known private healthcare provider, who eventually replied with a rude and aggressive email. Please let us know what you think....
We don’t have a problem with people not wanting to work with us, but being ignored now that is a different matter.....
