Arts and Social Network Participation Day Tate Modern Tuesday 23rd August 10 am – 3.30 pm

How can we develop the Network together?

A sense of ‘belonging’ promotes feelings of connection within a group. Connectedness or ‘being together’ presents certain challenges for us all but we hope the Arts & Social Network also provides people with an opportunity to explore how our common experiences can bring us closer together. With that in mind we thought the only way we could gain a fuller sense of your experiences of attending was sharing something in a group like we do at the end of the Network events.

As the Arts & Social network has grown we have attempted to use each event as a learning opportunity. From the very beginning it was our goal to better understand how the process works and more importantly get a clearer perspective of how we could make it work event better.

Participation Day
Sharing your experiences of attending will ensure that the network continues to evolve in its own unique way for the benefit of everyone involved. Please be open and honest, constructive feedback will enable us to see the blind spots as well as any qualities we may have missed. Participating on the day will help us bring together all the research we have undertaken over the last year to develop a sustainable user-led network, which has the potential to be replicated in other parts of London and across the UK.
What to expect
The main focus of the day is interactive workshops that will look at how the ASN might impact on four key areas of well-being. During lunch there will be an opportunity to participate in some visual arts and the afternoon session will be followed by a drama session led my Emergence artists.

All views are encouraged, respected and listened to in what we hope will be an informal creative atmosphere. Most of all we want this to be just as much fun as the events themselves so we have also incorporated opportunities to be creative if you choose to be so, and at the end of the session you can immerse yourselves in all that the Tate has to offer.

As a part of our ASN Evaluation 2011, the Participation Day will help us to enhance the areas you identify as being the most beneficial to you. We can also use your feedback to look at any areas that need improving and enable us to think collectively about the future of the ASN.
