TONY CONTINUES HIS WALK AROUND LONDON’S HOSPITALS

Before leaving London to continue his Epic ‘WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT Walk to Newcastle, on Tuesday 22^nd March Tony began his epic journey at the Bethlem Hospital in Beckenham, accompanied by Professor Andre Tylee, Academic Director at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust,  Stuart Bell, Chief Executive of the Trust, and Beth Elliott, Art Co-ordinator at The Bethlem Gallery.  On the first day they walked 8 miles to the Maudsley Hospital on Denmark Hill.

On Wednesday 23^rd March, Tony continued on to the Memorial Hospital on Shooters Hill, accompanied by Stephen Firn, Chief Executive of Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, completing another 8 miles, which was followed by a beautiful meal prepared by the Trust’s service users. On the morning of Thursday 24^th, Tony will attend a Mental Health and Arts Fayre at the Memorial Hospital, where amongst others, a community choir and a rapper will be performing. 

Tony will then continue his walk to Springfield Hospital in Tooting, accompanied by staff and service users from Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.  At Springfield  Hospital Tony will visit the Recovery College, before attending a reception held in his honour during the evening, and on Friday 24^th will continue his walk from Tooting to Epsom.

Next week, Tony will meet MP’s supporting the walk at the Palace of Westminster during a drop in hosted by Bob Stewart M.P.
