Icons Exhibition by Adam Pick- Leicester 8th-15th November 2011

'Icons'Exhibition by Adam Pick,Pedestrian Arts, LCB Depot Building, 36 Rutland Street, Leicester City Centre (in Cultural Quarter, near Curve Theatre)

'Icons' is an exploration of our connection to the celebrity, people that we often feel some kind of connection to,and yet cannot know. It explores the hidden faces of our heroes, the real emotion that lies within, The 'Iconic' images contained in this Exhibition, range from Music, to Tv, to Film.

The work featured uses differing shapes, textures and blocks of colour combined to represent the features of well known societal figures.

Adam Pick is a visual artist from Leicester, working predominately in digital media, but also in sand and glass, and more recently, some photography. This is his first Exhibition in his home town. He currently has work waiting to be displayed at Sheffield United, in late November, as part of an event to raise money for Reflections Art In Health Charity.

Adam is a former Mental Health Service User, recently self employed, who is now beginning to break into Mainstream Art, and he very much hopes that you will come along, and have a look at his work.
